This privacy policy (“Privacy Policy”) sets forth how Akron Community Foundation collects, uses, and protects the information that you give or provide to us when you visit www.akronfamily.org (the “Site”). Akron Community Foundation may change this Privacy Policy from time to time. You should check this page occasionally to see whether any changes to this Privacy Policy have been made. If changes have been made, and if you do not agree with them, you must cease use of the Site and/or not access it. Your continued access to and/or use of the Site after changes have been made to this Privacy Policy indicate your agreement to and acceptance of the changes. This Privacy Policy is effective as of Sept. 14, 2016 (“Effective Date”).

The Site is not intended for, directed at, or targeted to children under the age of 13. By proceeding to access and use the Site, you represent and warrant to Akron Community Foundation that you are an adult aged 13 or older. If you are below the age of 13, you ARE NOT authorized to access or use the Site; in that case, please do not proceed.

Akron Community Foundation is committed to protecting your privacy when you visit www.akronfamily.org. When you visit the Site, we may collect personal information from you by which you can be identified, including without limitation your name, email address, and credit card information (“Personal Information”). You may visit our Site without providing Personal Information; however, if you do so, some functionality of the Site may remain unavailable to you.

Our third-party hosting company and our credit card processing company (http://www.authorize.net/company/privacy/) will also collect additional, non-personally-identifiable information from you (“Non-Personally-Identifiable Information”, together with Personal Information collectively referred to as “Information”), including without limitation the URL you came from, your IP address, your domain name, your browser type, the country and state where your server is located, and the pages that were viewed during your visit to our Site. All Information is kept on a secure server to protect it from disclosure to outside parties.

Personal Information Collected

Akron Community Foundation may, without limitation, collect the following Personal Information from you when you visit our Site: name, employer, job title, addresses, email addresses , phone numbers, demographic information, preferences, and interests. Should you choose to engage in online giving, we may also collect your credit card and other payment information. Any such credit card and other payment information may also be subject to any privacy policy provided by our credit card processing company.

Uses of Personal Information Collected

Akron Community Foundation collects the Personal Information set forth above in order to improve the Site and our services, and to provide you with better service. In particular, we may use your Personal Information (and other Information) for the following purposes, without limitation: (i) for sending you updates and useful information about our programs; (ii) for sending you promotional information; (iii) for enhancing the Site’s operations; (iv) for statistical purposes and overall systems administration; (v) for internal record keeping; (vi) to facilitate online giving; (vii) to improve our products and services; (viii) to maintain the integrity of the information and services provided on the Site; and (ix) to customize the Site according to user interests.

Akron Community Foundation does not sell or rent your Information to others. Except as set forth herein, and unless required by law, we will not distribute your Personal Information to third parties without your permission.

Security for Personal Information

Akron Community Foundation is committed to ensuring that your Personal Information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorized access or disclosure of your Personal Information, we use suitable, industry-standard physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the Personal Information that we collect via the Site.

Secure Giving

We understand and respect your right to privacy, especially as it relates to your online giving. When making a donation to a donor-advised fund, only your name and donation amount may be visible to the fund’s donor advisors.

Correcting Your Personal Information

You may request details about your Personal Information that Akron Community Foundation holds by emailing us at dherman@akroncf.org. If you believe that any of your Personal Information is incorrect or incomplete, please email us at the foregoing email address to request correction. Upon receipt of your email, we will correct any of your Personal Information found to be incorrect.

Analytics Services

Akron Community Foundation collects information through cookies and other similar technologies. We may use third parties to provide advertisements for other websites that may be of interest to you, based on Information collected about your use of our Site and other websites. To do this, these Akron Community Foundation and/or these third parties may place or recognize a unique cookie on your browser, which may include without limitation the use of pixel tags and/or web beacons. You can choose to accept or decline cookies; most browsers automatically accept cookies unless you modify settings to decline them. However, declining to accept cookies may prevent you from taking full advantage of the Site. Further, Akron Community Foundation does not recognize automated browser signals regarding tracking mechanisms, which may include “do not track” instructions.

Akron Community Foundation also uses web analytics services, which currently include without limitation Google Analytics, and Crazy Egg and Mouseflow analytics. Although we currently use the foregoing analytics services providers, Akron Community Foundation reserves its right, within its sole discretion, to change analytics services providers, or to add additional analytics services providers, without notice to you.

Google Analytics is a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to track and report website traffic. The Information generated, including your shortened IP address, is transmitted to Google. This information is used to evaluate users’ use of the domain, compile statistical reports on domain activity, and provide other services related to the site and internet use. Google may also collect information about users’ use of other websites.

The information generated from Google Analytics is used only to improve the Site. Google Analytics collects only the IP address assigned to you on the date you visit the Site, rather than your name or other Personal Information. We do not combine the Information collected through the use of Google Analytics with your Personal Information. Google’s ability to use and share Information collected by Google Analytics about your visits to the Site is restricted by the Google Analytics Terms of Use (as amended for government websites) and the Google privacy policy, which are available at www.google.com/policies/. You can prevent Google Analytics from recognizing you on return visits to this site by disabling cookies on your browser. You may also opt out of Google Analytics.

The Site uses CrazyEgg tracking to obtain information on how users are interacting with specific Akron Community Foundation web pages. This allows Akron Community Foundation to evaluate and, if necessary or beneficial, to modify its Site to improve value and usability. The data CrazyEgg collects includes information about how users navigate around a web page and a list of the most commonly clicked links on a specific web page. CrazyEgg does not collect Personal Information. Crazy Egg’s ability to use and share Information collected by Crazy Egg about your visits to the Site is restricted by the Crazy Egg Terms of Use and privacy policy, which are available at www.crazyegg.com/privacy. You may also opt out of CrazyEgg.

The Site also uses Mouseflow web analytics service. This service may record mouse clicks, mouse movements, scrolling activity, and any text you type in the Site, except text in password fields. Mouseflow does not collect Personal Information that you do not voluntarily enter into the Site. You may also opt out of Mouseflow.

Remarketing Services

This Site uses Google AdWords, Facebook, and Bing Remarketing Services to advertise on third-party websites (including the networks of Google, Facebook, Bing and Yahoo!) to previous users of our Site. This could mean that we advertise to previous users who haven’t completed a task on our Site. For example, if a user fills out the contact form but does not submit it, we would then advertise to them on a search results page, or on a site within the third-party networks. Third-party vendors, including Google, Facebook, and Bing, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s past visits to the Akron Community Foundation Site. Of course, any data collected will be used in accordance with this Privacy Policy and any applicable third party privacy policies.

Akron Community Foundation currently uses Google AdWords, Facebook, and Bing Remarketing Services as remarketing services providers. Akron Community Foundation reserves its right, within its sole discretion, to change remarketing services providers, or to add additional remarketing services providers, without notice to you.
